Ximena Calderon

Ximena Calderon is a dedicated Musician with ample experience in orchestras and chamber groups. She also has experience collaborating with a diverse range of musicians.
She is an enthusiastic team player who accepts coaching graciously and quickly incorporates feedback into performances and teaching.
Currently in the process of completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music. Where she is focusing on violin performance, under the tutelage of Linda Wang. She was awarded the Walter D. Stein Scholarship for musical merit.
Ximena attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy where she completed her high school diploma. During this time, she studied with important violinists Paul Sonner and Stephanie Arado.
Ximena has had years of experience in chamber music. As part of The Edex Quartet she got to compete in the prestigious Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, as well as being a part to the Michigan Music Conference in the same year.
Ximena had the privilege to study with well renowned violin teacher Almita Vamos during the Harpa Music Festival in Iceland. Completed master classes with Midori Goto, Dylana Jenson, Rachel Barton, Jennifer Koh, Charlie Castleman, and many others. Performed alongside well-known musicians, including Mark O'Connor, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Michael Thurber.
Ximena intends to keep expanding her musical abilities as much as possible as both a chamber musician and a soloist. She recently discovered a passion for teaching and plans to continue down this highly fulfilling path.
